General Manager

A Training Provider veteran of nearly 20 years - but by no means an oldie!! As General Manager of New Horizons Newcastle my main responsibilities are to oversee and manage the day to day running of our Newcastle Training Centre, ensuring there is a “fit for purpose” structure in place to maintain the high quality service New Horizons is renowned for worldwide.

In my spare time I carry the usual responsibilities of a devoted Father however also manage time to enjoy playing the guitar, wakeboarding and my recent passion of the last 5 years - Karate!


Lynsey Williams


Operations Manager

I have worked within the training sector for over 15 years, predominately within operational management. As Operations Manager of New Horizons Newcastle I am responsible for the centres training performance, this includes scheduling and managing classes and courses. I work closely with the sales team to ensure all resources are available and the student has a fantastic learning experience with us.

I have very little "spare" time since my son was born, as most of my time is spent with him. If I do get a spare hour to myself though,I could be persuaded to wind down with a glass or prosecco or two!

Scott Gordon


Sales Manager

For the past 18 years I have been involved in B2B and B2C Sales Management across a number of sectors. As Sales Manager, I am responsible for the performance of the team of Account Executives in New Horizons Newcastle. Ensuring targets are met but always keeping our high standard of customer service at the forefront of what we do.

Following a successful career as a personal trainer, I made the transition to Sales following a neck injury whilst playing rugby. In my spare time, I thoroughly enjoy rugby coaching, I am one of the coaches for Blaydon RFC under 12’s.


Jonathan Mackley


Digital Marketing Executive

I oversee the marketing strategy for the organisation and manage the company's outgoing communications via the social media channels. I also maintain and supply content for our website as well as analysing the traffic flow. 

I'm a keen traveller and love throwing myself into foreign cultures, which I then develop into short stories. I enjoy trying my hand at cooking and staying fit in order to combat my cheese addiction! Still trying to find space in my home for my expanding list of books!

Account Executive

After a brief start in Web Design and Multimedia I spent most of my last 15 years in sales orientated and recruitment positions. At New Horizons my goal is to reach out to local and national businesses and help them address their business or IT issues and improve their staff’s skill-sets.

Music, art, science and Mediterranean food are all part of my heritage. I love travelling whether to obscure coastlines or to small lakes hidden in northern forests.


Kay O'Brien


Account Executive

A sales specialist at our Newcastle office, I have 15 years’ experience in sales and finance. My responsibilities are to manage client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and to promote and sell New Horizons award winning IT and business training.

I’m a problem solver, the office hugger, an expert tea/coffee maker and a yoga enthusiast but not all at the same time… I wouldn’t want to spill my tea!

My previous roles have always been in Sales and now at New Horizons my responsibilities are to manage client relationships, identifying new business opportunities and to promote and sell New Horizons award winning IT & Business training.

I'd say I was a peacemaker, a team player, a movie fanatic and a junk-food maniac. My family's favourite comedian and an accounts executive during the day. Who says no one is perfect!?
